reporters

I have been failing at posting every day and for that I am sorry!

Today was my second day working at the library. Basically I spent four hours doing training on spotting and reporting child abuse.

Basically the most important thing is that it is important to report if you think there is a chance of abuse in any form. If there isnt you wont get in trouble and the proper authorities will make sure that no one gets in trouble for being reported in the first place.

There are two kinds of people who can report something. Mandatory reporters are people who are required by law to report something. Now that I have been trained I am one. I'm hoping I never have to. But anyone who has been trained and is in a posistion where they are around kids basically has to.

The other kind is permissive reporter. Basically they arent legally bond to report anything but it is strongly encouraged- nothing will happen if they dont except knowing that they could have stopped some kid from being hurt.

Other than that I cleared some garden space and went to bj's for the first time where they sell Giant Boxes of Vegetarian Chick'n Nuggets. Which was more exciting than is probably necessary but I was really excited.

  1. While I hope you never have to use it, I think it's good you're trained on spotting child abuse. I just hope that power (overall) is used for good!! Probably? Probably. How is it being with the pup without the kitty?
