Updates and Book Ramblings

I am clearly terrible at blogging this time around. I honestly thought I was just on here the other day and now I look and it was OVER A WEEK AGO?? Things are good here. Bella is settling in here with her cousins. Lu as far as I know is ok- my old roommate hasnt given me many updates on him. He did get out of the house last week but wandered back to the patio a few hours later (I'm hoping because he knows where he lives but I also suggested to the old roommate that she put his litter box outside as the smell is suppose to help cats find their way home). Work is going really well I think! I'm fairly confident in doing most things and my coworkers are all great about helping with things I'm not sure about. I did make a mistake a few days ago that came up today- but in truth I dont know if that was me or if it was because the computer had been acting funky that day. I have been rereading Blood and Chocolate which is the only book to movie where I like the movie more! S...

reporters

I have been failing at posting every day and for that I am sorry! Today was my second day working at the library. Basically I spent four hours doing training on spotting and reporting child abuse. Basically the most important thing is that it is important to report if you think there is a chance of abuse in any form. If there isnt you wont get in trouble and the proper authorities will make sure that no one gets in trouble for being reported in the first place. There are two kinds of people who can report something. Mandatory reporters are people who are required by law to report something. Now that I have been trained I am one. I'm hoping I never have to. But anyone who has been trained and is in a posistion where they are around kids basically has to. The other kind is permissive reporter. Basically they arent legally bond to report anything but it is strongly encouraged- nothing will happen if they dont except knowing that they could have stopped some kid from being hurt...

Goals, dreams, and rambling

Friday was my last day at my cleaning job. Today (Sunday-i haven't slept yet so it's still Sunday) was my last day at massage. Last night was my last night in my bed. Everyone keeps saying they are so excited that I am following "my dream." To be honest I don't know what my dream is. There were multiple stretches where I didn't think I was going to make it this long. I had one goal and it was Get Out. Which I did and it has been one day at a time since. I don't like the idea that There Has To Be One Goal. Sometimes there's one goal. Sometimes life is just one day at a time. Sometimes you don't know what it is that you want. Sometimes you know what you want and all the steps to get there. None of these are bad. Everyone's life is different and everyone needs to figure out their own path. Idk just the whole thing where everyone thinks I'm following my dream-if y'all know my dreams can you fill me in, cause I haven't ...

Cupcakes and busy-ness

I'm a smidgen burnt out from work, and packing, and all the fun things associated with that so here is a picture of the cupcakes I promised my 4 years plus coworkers I would bring for my last weekend with them. Chocolate cupcakes with double chocolate brownie base and butter cream icing.

Of fear and dinosaurs

Last night I had a dream I was being chased by a dinosaur. I woke up at about 3am and googled what it meant and promtly fell back to sleep. I woke up to see on my phone that according to Google being chased by a dinosaur in a dream means your subconscious is basically saying face this giant thing you fear that you've been running away from. Which I have now been thinking about all day. Which giant fear am I SUPPOSE to face?  The last two weeks I feel like I have been living the "do one thing every day that you are afraid of." Most of the time it's confronting someone or making important phone calls about moving. (I hate talking to people-it terrifies me). I drove 2 hours each away for my interview. (Driving horrifies me).  I had to quit two jobs in one week-ive never quit a job before. Either it was work study and I graduated or when I was in high school and cleaning for the sweet old lady down the street she passed away. I've never had to quit...
Eeep! Comments!! Moving and changing jobs is big but not as big as A BABY LIKE LEAH!! Good life lessons from today: Always check where you park because you might get towed like the xfinity guy in front of work. Pets can have insurance too. I got Bella's doggie insurance set up. Also dog insurance is waaaaay cheaper than human insurance. You're never going to make friends if you bark at all the other dogs at the park. Write down passwords on the work computers because if it changed and you didnt tell anyone someone-aka me- will have to call tech report. I worked all morning and afternoon. Then a ton of phone calls to add my roommate to the gas and electric bill and set up Bells insurance. Bellabean the dog is not the most social. She will see another dog and want to be friends then freak out if they are bigger than herself. She is a rescue so we don't know what happened in her past. She's afraid of bigger dogs, loud noises, and feet. I'm hoping livi...

Hello again!!

Once upon a time Maureen Johnson dared Twitter and the internet at large to Blog Every Day April. Oh, Aunty MJ. This brought a month of blogging and BEDA Buddies! Julia brought us all back together for another BEDA (LEARN THAT WORD AUTOCORRECT!!)!! Um so what has been happening in my life.... I am quitting two jobs this week and moving across the state. I am buying my first car (I HATE DRIVING). Taking over ownership of my roommate's doggie, Bellabean. Luna the cat may or may not be coming along for the travels! We shall see if he does well as an only child.  In one week's time I will be living in the middle of Pennsylvania instead of the City of Philadelphia where I have been living for the last 5? 6? Years. AND I will be (fingers crossed against anything going wrong) starting a job as a Librarian!!! It's a month of changes and BEDA is going to document all that! Heads up I am going to try to post every day but this week might be crazy. So. Yea.
